Organization Hacks for Small Entryways

Maximize Hallway Space with a Narrow Shoe Cupboard

Looking for a smart way to organize footwear in a tight hallway? One of my favourite solutions is IKEA’s narrow shoe organizer with flip-out doors. These organizers store your shoes vertically, taking up minimal space and keeping your floors clear. Plus, they double as a handy spot for keys, sunglasses, and other small items. IKEA carries a variety of widths to fit almost any space. I used Two IKEA STALL shoe cabinets since I knew they were only 6″ deep and would offer much-needed storage. I painted and trimmed them out to make them look more built in to the wall.

Functional Entry with a Space-Saving Hook Wall

Hook walls are one of my go-to fixes for small entryway storage solutions. I’ve installed them in our own back entry and in several other homes, and they never disappoint. They’re perfect for families with kids because you can mount the hooks low enough for little ones to hang up their own coats and bags. Hook walls are awesome in cramped spaces without a closet, keeping everything from scarves to handbags off the floor and neatly organized.
