Creating a Cozy Farmhouse Breakfast Nook with Thrifted Finds
I love sharing how I gave our farmhouse breakfast nook a cozy refresh using mostly thrifted finds! This little space is where we gather for brunch, dinner parties, and everyday meals, so I wanted it to feel warm and inviting. Instead, it felt a bit cold and needed an update with some spring decor.
With a few simple changes like layering in vintage decor, rattan accents, and DIY pillow covers, I completely transformed the space without spending a fortune. A budget-friendly light fixture added warmth and a simple centerpiece made the dining table feel more inviting. It’s amazing how much character you can add with secondhand treasures and a little creativity!

Vintage-Inspired Spring Tablescape in Warm Pinks & Yellows
If you love vintage charm and soft, inviting colours, this spring tablescape is full of warm pinks, yellows, and vintage-inspired details. It is perfect for Easter dinner or any spring gathering! The inspiration for this table setting came from a stunning set of pink depression-era glassware I found at a local antique store. Everything else fell beautifully into place.

To create the simple centrepiece, I started with a faux eucalyptus garland down the middle of the dining table. Then I added fullness with some budget-friendly greenery stems from Walmart. For a pop of spring colour, I tucked in DIY crepe paper peonies, adding a handmade touch to the arrangement. To finish it off, I added white candles and candlesticks from IKEA, creating a beautiful, romantic glow. Don’t you love it?

Spring Kitchen Table Decor on a Budget
A spring tablescape doesn’t have to cost a fortune! With budget-friendly finds from Target Dollar Spot, Dollar Tree, and Walmart, I created a fresh spring kitchen table setting that is perfect for the season.
I used green and grey striped napkins held by Hobby Lobby napkin rings and added some Dollar Tree ribbon for extra charm. My affordable Walmart finds — textured white plates and teal hobnail glasses — helped tie everything together.
For a simple spring centrepiece, I grouped a mix of seasonal accents: a green birdhouse and eucalyptus stem from Target. The ceramic bunnies are from Dollarama, and the faux lavender is from Dollar Tree. These small touches add some great texture and colour to the dining table. This simple tablescape is such an easy way to welcome spring!

Make a Dried Floral Easter Egg Tree
If you’re looking for a simple but beautiful way to decorate for Easter, this dried floral Easter egg tree is such a fun DIY! It’s an easy, budget-friendly project that adds a pretty, natural touch to your spring kitchen table decor.
I love using dried flowers in my decorating, and pairing them with Easter eggs felt like the perfect way to welcome the season. All you need is some branches, plastic eggs, Mod Podge, and pressed flowers to pull this look together. This is one of those effortless projects that looks way fancier than it actually is! This little tree is such a lovely way to bring a bit of spring into your home.

A Nature-Inspired Spring or Easter Table Setting
This nature-inspired table setting is simple yet lovely, perfect for any spring gathering or a small Easter dinner. To start, I laid down fabric placemats I found at my local grocery store. They’re inexpensive but add a lot of character with their fringed edges and aqua and white stripes. Next, I layered on my go-to simple white dishes and added a personal touch with the DIY pom-pom napkins I made one fall. For a little extra charm, I topped each plate with a cute aqua IKEA bowl, filled with shredded raffia ribbon and a faux succulent.
The centrepiece is where the magic happens! I used a beautiful teal glass jug (any large, coloured vessel will do!) filled with faux pussy willows. This piece adds great height and ties the whole look together, giving the table a bit of drama without being too over-the-top. It’s simple, fresh, and the perfect way to celebrate the season!

Dollar Store Lavender Place Card Holders for Spring
These lavender place card holders are a perfect way to add a personal touch to your spring table setting! Made with metal buckets, faux lavender, and moss (all from the dollar store!), these holders are super easy to make. They bring a fresh, nature-inspired feel to your spring tablescape. They also double as cute party favours your family members or friends can take home!

Make a DIY Spring Tray from a Shadow Box
If you love easy, budget-friendly upcycles, this DIY spring tray is such a fun project! Using a clearance shadow box from Hobby Lobby, some pretty floral paper, Mod Podge, and simple hardware from Home Depot, I created a charming little serving tray that’s perfect for spring decor.
This sweet floral tray is such a fun way to bring a pop of spring to your home. Use it to serve drinks, display candles or small vases, or as part of a layered centrepiece on your dining table. I love simple projects like this, and now I really can’t wait for spring!

Make a Spring Tea Station
A spring-themed tea station is such a fun and easy way to bring a little seasonal charm into your home! My inspiration for this tea station came from a gorgeous lavender and aqua tea set I found at Chapters. I don’t usually decorate with purple, but the soft mix of lavender, aqua, and florals felt like the perfect fresh combo for spring. Once I added some beautiful watercolour floral linen napkins from Simons, the whole theme came together.
To style the wooden tiered tray, I filled small mason jars with loose teas and honey, added a matching mug, and tucked in some faux lavender and mini bird nests for a sweet, nature-inspired vibe. A few mercury glass tea light holders and copper teaspoons added a bit of sparkle, while a lavender candle and essential oil diffuser helped set a cozy, relaxing mood.
This setup would be perfect for a mother-daughter tea date or a cozy brunch. It’s such a sweet way to celebrate the season, no matter the occasion!

Rustic Spring Planter Box Centrepiece with Mason Jars & Hydrangeas
Spring is almost here, and I couldn’t be more excited! Even though we won’t see real blooms for a while (Alberta weather is unpredictable — we might still get snow!), I wanted to bring some springtime energy indoors with a rustic barnwood planter box centrepiece.
This barnwood box was filled with spruce clippings, pinecones, and birch bark candles for Christmas. To give it a fresh spring update, I swapped out the greenery for blue mason jars, soft teal hydrangeas, and faux green mums. The result? A light & airy spring centrepiece that feels rustic, charming, and perfect for a dining room table, kitchen island, or Easter dinner setup!

DIY Dollar Tree Macrame Vase for Spring
Take a simple Dollar Tree vase and give it a boho-inspired makeover with an easy macrame embellishment! This is a great project for anyone new to macrame. It adds a lovely handmade touch to your spring kitchen table decor.
When I spotted an aqua-coloured vase at Dollar Tree, I knew it would be perfect for my spring tablescape or as part of a centrepiece filled with fresh blooms, faux greenery, or even dried flowers. The vase was already pretty, but adding a bit of DIY macrame gave it that extra boost of personality! Using just a few simple materials (butcher’s twine, a ruler, and scissors), you can create a delicate, textured detail that makes this vase feel totally unique.
Cozy Prairie Linens
If you haven’t already heard, Cozy Prairie Linens is where I bring together my favourite natural and cozy bed and bath essentials that blend comfort with vintage-inspired style. I’ve carefully curated a collection of high-quality linens and accessories to help you create a warm and inviting retreat in your home. Here are some of my faves for springtime:

Cozy Candles
For something elegant and unique, the Everlasting Candle Set with Neva Vase is a stunning alternative to traditional candles. These steel oil candlesticks burn clean and smoke-free with Pristine Oil®, giving you up to 50 hours of candlelight. Plus, they look gorgeous as part of a dining table centrepiece or styled on a mantel.

If you love the look of candlelight but want something safe and long-lasting, the 5″ Cream Fluted Faux Flame Candle and 4″ 3D Faux Flame Candle are both great options. Their realistic flickering glow gives off that cozy vibe, and their fluted glass jars add a soft, elegant touch.

Vintage Vases
For a clean and simple look, the White and Beige Minimalist Vase Sets are both a perfect choice. Each set comes with two ceramic vases in different sizes, giving you plenty of styling options. You can keep them empty for a modern, sculptural vibe or fill them with dried flowers. They add just the right amount of charm to any space.
If you’re looking for something a little more classic and vintage-inspired, the Glass Flower Vase is a must-have. Its delicate, clear glass design makes any floral arrangement stand out, whether you’re displaying spring daffodils, eucalyptus, or even just a few simple stems!

Florals
For a natural, organic look, the Green Silver Dollar Eucalyptus Bundle is a beautiful choice. These real preserved stems (yes, real eucalyptus!) add a soft, airy feel to any decor. Plus, they’re dye-free and preserved with vegetable glycerin, so they stay beautiful for the long haul.

If you love the soft floral look, the Faux Lavender Bush is perfect for adding a hint of spring. Or, for a bit more texture and depth, the Leathered Fern Bundle is a great addition to any display. Its leather-like texture gives it a natural, lifelike feel, making it a perfect filler for centrepieces!
I hope these kitchen table decor ideas have inspired you to refresh your space for spring! Have fun mixing colours, textures, and seasonal touches to create a look that feels uniquely yours. If you try any of these ideas, tag me — I can’t wait to see how you bring them to life!
