My Experience
My DIY journey began in 2006 when we purchased our first fixer-upper house (that was actually a garage!). What started as a necessity quickly turned into a passion that led me to launch my blog in 2009 (originally called “The DIY Mommy”) and my YouTube Channel in 2015. Since then, I’ve collaborated with major home improvement brands, been featured in print publications, and taught workshops across North America.
Before becoming a full-time content creator, I worked as a graphic designer, giving me professional insights that inform my approachable DIY & decorating content.
Fun Fact About Me
Before I went to college for graphic design, I got my Vocal Performance Diploma! I was determined to be a famous singer, but when I realized I had such a passion for design I decided to pursue that instead. I still sing at church, and I’m known to belt out an improv song or two to my 3 daughters after dinner. 😉
