Brown Paper & Pom Pom Gift Wrapping Ideas
“Brown paper packages tied up with string…” Do you know and love that song too? Check out these simple gift wrapping ideas using brown paper, hot glue, baker’s twine, and DIY pom-poms! You can also add various ribbons, yarn, faux greenery, and any other embellishments of your choice. Once you wrap one present this way and see how versatile and beautiful brown paper can be, you’re going to wrap the rest of your gifts with it, too!

Furoshiki Gift Wrap Tutorial
I’ve got a great idea for a simple, reusable gift wrapping idea that will make your holiday gifts really stand out. Use a square piece of fabric that’s finished on all sides, such as a scarf, napkin, or beautiful towel from my Cozy Prairie Linens store. Wrap the top and bottom of the fabric triangles around your gift. Then, pull up the other sides and tie them in the middle. You can embellish with a eucalyptus stem or any other natural element you choose. This is an elegant and simple wrapping technique that is sure to please!

Wrapping Paper Roll Pillow Box
Don’t throw your cardboard wrapping paper rolls away, especially right around the holiday season! They make great pillow boxes for small gifts like jewelry and stocking stuffers. And they are so simple to make! Shut themproperly with a piece of tape or two and embellish with scraps of wrapping paper and string for a finished, beautiful look. These pillow boxes are a simple solution to awkwardly-shaped small gifts. They have a much cleaner look than small gift bags or tiny pieces of wrapping paper, and they fit right in with your kraft paper-wrapped larger gifts.

Brown Paper Package with a Gorgeous Twist
I love using kraft paper or white butcher paper to wrap gifts because it’s easy to recycle as well as beautiful. And instead of wrapping your kraft paper gift the classic way, try this beautiful pleated method that looks gorgeous with some holiday greenery! This is much easier to show you than tell you, so be sure to watch the video for my step-by-step tutorial.

DIY Vintage Map Christmas Gift Wrap and Gift Bags
Vintage maps are beautiful pieces of art and make unique, sophisticated Christmas gift-wrapping. You can often find vintage maps and atlases at antique shops, garage sales, flea markets, and thrift stores. (You can also find reproduction vintage maps online to purchase, as old maps themselves sometimes seem better suited to framing for display!)

How to Wrap a Present with a Blanket Scarf
A very unique gift wrapping idea is to wrap a gift box with a blanket scarf. This way, you’re not only giving a beautiful gift, but you’re also giving a lovely scarf for the season! Martha Stewart herself would be proud of this one. If you have a large enough scarf it would even work well as last minute gift basket wrap!

Shabby Chic Christmas Present Wrapping Ideas
To make this shabby chic gift wrap idea come to life, I dug up some of my favourite textiles that I thought were the right feel: white linen fabric, kraft paper, sparkly jingle bells, sparkly faux branches, glittery yarn, fabric roses, sheets of music, lace, and—of course—a good length of ribbon. I love the result!

DIY Wrapping Paper Bag
Do you have some funny-shaped gifts that need to be wrapped? Or, are you planning to send your neighbours some cookies and need a cute way to package them? The truth is, not every present comes in a perfectly square box! This simple DIY gift bag is really easy to make, and you can use thick tissue paper or your favourite wrapping paper as a personal touch! To make a wrapping paper gift bag like this, straight-cut a piece of wrapping paper that measures 14 inches wide by 8 inches high. Then, some simple folds secured with clear tape are all you need to make your fun little gift bag!

How to Wrap Your Christmas Baking
I think homemade cookies and breads are easy and heartfelt gifts for neighbours and friends, don’t you? I’m always trying to create interesting ways to wrap edible Christmas gifts. I’m sharing my cookie roll method, bread wrapper idea, and other fun ways to package your Christmas baking gifts that will make your homemade baking look even more festive and cheerful.

Eco-Friendly Gift Wrapping Idea – Beeswax Wraps!
For a non-traditional gift-wrapping material, try this! A beeswax wrap is one of my favourite ideas for an eco-friendly Christmas. It is a reusable alternative to plastic wrap that you can use to cover bowls or wrap up cheese, sandwiches, fruit pieces, and more. Using it to wrap a present would mean a thoughtful extra gift for that eco-friendly person in your life!

Creative Wine Gift Wrapping Ideas That Spark Joy
Wine and spirits are popular holiday gifts, but that doesn’t mean they have to be boring! Put away that predictable skinny gift bag and let me show you how to turn ordinary items like socks and napkins into fabulous gift wrap!

Quick and Easy Soap Gift Idea for the Holidays
Sometimes the wrapping is part of the gift! There’s something inherently cozy and comforting about giving a gift that’s both beautiful and useful, and a festive hand soap or cleaning spray paired with a matching tea towel is exactly that. Choose a beautifully printed tea towel, pair it with a high-end scented hand soap, and tie it together with a velvet ribbon in a complementary colour. Add a tag and embellishments, and voila! Beautifully wrapped-not-wrapped gift.

Bows and Embellishments
Sometimes it’s not the wrapping itself that makes the impression. It’s the way you finish it off! Here are my favourite ideas for bows and embellishments that are sure to make your beautifully wrapped gifts extra memorable.

My Favourite Wired Bow Method
Here’s my step by step tutorial for my ultimate favourite fluffy wired bow method! This bow comes to you after years of experience wrapping presents, and I really do think it is the best bow around. Add this beautiful ribbon to any of the above wrapping ideas with a piece of double-sided tape to add an extra touch of flair and festivity.

Beautiful Ribbon Christmas Tree Gift Wrap
Take your gift wrapping to the next level with this ribbon Christmas tree idea! Wrap a gift with plain or delicately patterned wrapping paper. Then, place a strip of double-sided tape vertically on a wrapped gift. Fold ribbon back and forth along the tape, narrowing the design as you go to create the shape of a Christmas tree. Add a small ornament or star on top, and you’ve got a gift that’s almost too pretty to open.

Where did you buy the pine/sprig branches that were inserted in the “envelope style” wrapped gift? They are perfect size and flatness!
I love gift wrapping. The ribbon you said was your favorite bow, is there a source or are you like me and the favorite stash might be several years old. I bought a similar ribbon at Michael’s some years back, but mine was green with brown sparkly. I loved that ribbon- never to be seen again !
